Who is Yahweh?
He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. "Yahweh" is a Hebrew word.
Do you believe? If you think mere belief, being a church member, or seeming good in your own eyes necessarily means you have salvation, you are wrong. The word "believe" has a variety of meanings in God's word, the Bible. Even demons believe, and they tremble. That type of belief is of no use to them; they are not part of the Kingdom of Heaven.
First, you realize,
"...all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)
That means you. You are a part of "all," so you are a sinner.
Sin is any transgression of Yahweh's (God's) law.
Before the Messiah came to this earth in the flesh, people believed we are all sinners. We have all transgressed the law.
We come to God through Jesus, and only through Jesus.
John 14:6
Jesus said: "No man cometh unto the father but by me."
Leviticus 16:30 (Hebrew Scriptures)
"For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you,
to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before
the Lord."
Leviticus 16:27 (Hebrew Scriptures)
"...whose blood was bought in to make atonement in the Holy place."
John 1:29 (New Testament)
Heb. 9:22 (New Testament)
"...without shedding of blood there is no remission."
What does salvation mean? It means that when you are saved, after you die you will be with Yahweh (aka "God") through Eternity. If not saved, "...the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23) What does the idea of being with Almighty Yahweh mean to you? Does it seem like something you would like? Search your heart. Let Yahweh (God) speak to your heart through the Holy Spirit.
Yahweh (God) saves you. You are "...saved by grace through faith, and not of yourself." (Eph. 2:8) Yahweh speaks to your heart through his written word and the Holy Spirit, and then you respond to him, through prayerful, humble repenting and giving your life completely to Him. You accept the atonement (covering). You believe that Jesus rose from the dead. You confess to others that you have this personal relationship with Jesus. When you are "born again," (John 3:3) deep within, through the power of the Holy Spirit, you no longer wish to be in sin. You still sin, as we all do, but it's not something you are bound by as if in a prison so that it enslaves you. Many drug addicts, alcoholics, and criminals have been delivered from the power of sin. The Lord gives you power over sin.
To be "born again" there is no need to be in a Church, any other building, or with any person. This is between you and Almighty Yahweh (God). It is good to congregate and communicate with others who are saved once you accept Jesus personally, repent, and give your life to him."...confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, and thou shalt
be saved." (Romans 10:9)
Since the Messiah (Jesus) walked this Earth about 2000 years ago, there have been no official animal sacrifices, and this fact was prophesied through the Hebrew prophet, Daniel. There may again be sacrificies in Jerusalem, or elsewhere, but that will not suffice for the remission of sin.
It's acceptance deep inside your heart of the death, burial, and resurrection (3 days after his death) of Jesus, and willingness to confess one's salvation before others that saves one's soul.
Once you are at one with, and have the atonement (covering) of Almighty Yahweh, it's advisable to learn of the endtime.
Then:
1. At least twice each day read the Bible --
an uncorrupted translation.
The King James, for English,
is good, but none are perfect.
2. Seek out other believers. Attend, but
do not not become
entangled with organized
religious organizations. Be
aware that churches are,
for the most part, in apostasy.
Hopefully, you will be able
to find a group, or organize
one, that meets in someone's
home.
3. Pray often.
4. Obey God's laws, not just the 10 commandments.
5. Tell others about Jesus...
Mark 16:16
"...preach the gospel [good news]"
I'm Bruce, leave a message for spiritual help at the number on the main page. If you're outside the U.S. use e-mail, or accept a collect call. E-mail is much slower, for me, than a message. You may need help in your walk through life with Jesus.
